Richmond School District is a modern, well-equipped government accredited educational organization, which maintains high academic standards. The district operates ten [10] secondary and thirty-eight [38] elementary schools in the City of Richmond. The district has a total student population of nearly 24,000 children in Grades K – 12 while supporting the learning for 10,000 adults.
Students are taught by BC Government certified professional teachers. Recent Student Assessments conducted internationally have demonstrated that British Columbia 15 year olds have among the highest reading scores in the world. Richmond 15 year olds are equivalent to Hong Kong and Finland in Mathematics scores and similar to Hong Kong and Korea in Science disciplines. Our high school graduates do very well on provincial examinations and often earn bursaries and scholarships for post secondary study that are accepted to the most prestigious universities throughout the world.
