The TOEFL is an international test designed to allow students to demonstrate competency in English. Universities and Colleges around the world use this test as a way to measure whether students are ready to withstand the rigours of academic study and to perform well in all aspects of their academic programs.

Most universities have established a minimum score for admission to each faculty. Students have stated that in recent years the TOEFL is becoming increasingly difficult. People who write the test will need to have a strong foundation in listening, reading and writing of English. Currently, the TOEFL does not require students to speak, although the new format of the TOEFL may have a speaking component.

The Richmond District TOEFL study program is sure to provide each participant with an improved chance to succeed in this international test of English language competency.

Richmond School District offers a comprehensive study program that is designed to prepare students of foreign languages to successfully write the international TOEFL exam. Our program provides participants with a range of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills that should enhance levels of success when writing TOEFL exams.

Instructional strategies presented in this program will provide students with frequent opportunities to review and practice reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Assessment techniques will provide feedback that will help strengthen student understanding of the English language.

Richmond instructors are all professionally trained and licensed by the British Columbia College of Teachers.
