TESOL is an acronym that applies to professional educators who provide English instruction to speakers of other languages. In our changing world, there is a growing need to seek out and learn common ways of communicating. Global demands have seen English evolve as a predominant language of business, law, economics, travel and daily life.

The Richmond School District TESOL program provides an excellent opportunity for educators to learn about and practice effective ways to teach English to others in their home countries.

Richmond School District offers a comprehensive teacher training program that is designed to increase the effectiveness of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages. Our program is designed to expose professional educators to a range of instructional strategies and assessment techniques that will enhance learning in their classrooms.

Richmond instructors are all professionally trained and licensed by the British Columbia College of Teachers.
